• To encourage children to mix with the members - especially children of other caste groups -freely and without any inhibition. Such integration at such an impressionable age helps development of non-prejudicial attitude in their lives
• To allow children to mix with members of different age group and with the opposite sex
• To provide facilities that will allow children to set their sights and goals higher than what they perceive to be their future
• To provide children with theatre and drama study workshops and lessons which build self-confidence and also improve other skills like communication etc.
• To provide facilities for children living in rural areas who would usually never have access to theatre. This will hopefully prove to them that setting their sights higher than their everyday situation is possible
• To provide recreational activities in the pool including swimming lessons not only to local children but also to local schools and groups
• To provide education on health and safety, when using such facilities; this, hopefully, will then be applied to their day-to-day living
• To provide children with the experience of living within a community. Encouraging them to live, work, learn, play and co-exist with others around them
• To provide the children with something that was entirely built for their use, their own space |
